“White white face dekh ke dilwa beating fast,

 Sasura dance mare
rey…

Very

happy is my heart,

 Dil dance mare!!”

So what do people expect from a movie carrying such lyrics
in one of its show case songs???

“TASHAN” is a rocking action comedy and I bet whether you
like it or not, you will come out with an extra show of attitude, the actual
meaning of the word “tashan”.

No reviews can limit Tashan’s viewing. If I try to pen down
what I just loved watching, it will be very difficult for me. What we called in
the great 90’s error as “Masala” movie. This is what Tashan is for us and
probably a break from the entire intelligent movie making. You don’t need to
carry any brains or hearts to enjoy the movie. Just go silent and come out
loud. A true marvel in its making. Tashan is a wonder joy ride.

Bhaiyyaji (Anil Kapoor) is a don who has his roots in Kanpur
in U.P. Bhaiyyaji’s obsession with English leads him to employ Jimmy (Saif Ali
Khan) to improve his English speaking. Jimmy is approached by Pooja (Kareena
Kapoor) who is secretary and love interest of Bhaiyyaji. Jimmy and Pooja end up
falling in love and stealing a might sum from Bhaiyyaji’s money basket. To get
hold of the two, Bachhan Pandey (Akshay Kumar) is employed by the don. Short
and simple. A chase, one will really enjoy.

Anil Kapoor as usual makes you laugh loud with his broken
English and accent. The deadly don look do suit him.

Saif is as always good and Kareena goes along with the role.
One thing need to be mentioned, apart from the last action scenes Kareena looks
weak. She has probably lost more weight than required.

Now comes the real entertainer, Akki. The Khiladi Kumar adds all the lights to
the ceremony. It is not the usual Akshay Kumar stuff. He tries something
different and fits completely into the role with such a grace that when he is
on the screen no one else is visible.

Saif and Akshay look good together again after around eight
years gap since their last appearance together in the movie “Aarzoo”.

The music by Vishal-Shekhar makes you swing and a sudden
urgency is felt to purchase the album and hear the beats on your surround
system. CHEERS GUYS!!

The writer and director Vijay Krishna Acharya does a very
nice job and makes us wait for his next flicks.

Go for Tashan, to enjoy, and to have a little flush of the
intelligent mind and the emotional heart.
