TASHAN Review

The title of this article says it all.That’s one of the the few "type" of dialogues you might hear in this movie.

Worst

yet....you have to sit through a 10 minute monoact by Anil Kapoor with his "Hinglish" words.First it was funny....I laughed (- a little -), Then it began to get under my brains. That’s when I started to get irritated and realized my mistake of seeing this film.

The film starts with a love story between Kareena and Saif.
Kareena with her artificial smile - her brains working full time to get the perfect "artificial" smile - but all effort in vain.
Saif is a natural actor - "Saif, please don’t act in such movies and ruin your career".
Anil Kapoor - did what he was told to do - act as a Hinglish speaking gunda.
He did his part - although I guess he might have hated it.

The Khiladi a.k.a Bacchan Pande a.k.a <phew!!> Akshay Kumar.
What is to be told about this guy. Simply Superb.But in this movie ... naaaa... Not so good....or maybe he wasn’t given the right role (again!!!).He was given some action sequences...good ones....could have been "directed" better.

The film is a Drama + Masala + Western "Cowboy" style flick.

If only I could get my hands on the director’s neck....<Control....Control>
In some movies even though the story is bad, the direction might be excellent and the movie turns out to be awesome. I always adore Quentin Tarantino’s movie. There is something good about his movies.

In "Tashan", there is NO storyline (which keeps people guessing and confused),
BAD direction (which makes people regret) and the THUMBS DOWN editing.
Sound track was OKAY....But never expected such stuff from Vishal-Shekhar.
"Guyz...Please don’t do such mistakes again...after some great music for "OSO"...Please - a humble request from your fan."

The story is this: (Will save you guyz some $$$)

a. Saif loves Kareena (Saif = Stupid, Kareena = Klever)
b. Kareena works for Anil Kapoor (Kareena = Kaam waali, Anil Kapoor = Gunda)
c. Saif is "English Masterji" of Anil.
d. Saif robs some crores from Anil for Kareena.
e. Kareena suddenly disappears, Saif gets beaten by Anil’s gang.
f. Anil asks Akshay to find Kareena and find money (hidden in 7 places)
g. Saif and Akshay team up to find Kareena.
h. Kareena finds out that Akshay is her long lost love.
i. Kareena knows Anil killed her father in her early days.
j. Anil orders Akshay to kill Saif, bring Kareena back to him (for marrying) and bring money.
k. Akshay brings home money to Anil but finds out its just bags of stones. Akshay gets beaten up.
l. Saifand Kareena enters and saves Akshay.
m. Saif, Kareena and Akshay team up to kill Anil.
