I had applied for a loan through HDFC home loan sales representative Mr Nitesh in Sept 2014 and paid a processing fee of Rs 7865 vide cheque that was credited to HDFC account on 01 Oct 2014.My loan acct no is 613411857.
I did not receive any communication regarding the status of my loan for three months. When I contacted Mr Nitesh telephonically I was informed that my file had been closed due to some court order on the Amanora Park Town project. After a day or two Nitesh informed me that the stay had been vacated and my file could now be processed. He also asked me to submit certain documents pertaining to my wife.As my wife is a homemaker she doesn't have a pan card.
You would be able to appreciate that a period of 5 months had elapsed and I had to encash a couple of FDs to make the payment. Now the payments are due only closer to possession. Hence I no longer required the loan. I had called the call centre two weeks ago and requested refund of processing fee but no action has been taken. Again today I had called the call centre with the request to remind.
The lady provided me with a mail id that does not exist.Through this forum I would like to highlight the high-handedness of HDFC home loan department.Iam an old customer who had availed their home loans in the past.I also have an account in their bank and also use their credit card.If this is their CRM policy towards existing customers the I shudder to think of their treatment of new customers.Hope this will enlighten anyone planning to avail HDFC home loans in the near future.
