I suggest each one who is looking for a home loan not to go for Kotak Mahindra. I have a very bad experience with Kotak. Customer care support is virtually useless. Kotak charge 1% of outstanding balance for a request of changing EMI date/Amount in the days when no bank is charging any foreclosure fee. In the mail, they would tell you that they have waived off .75% but still you need to pay .25% of outstanding amount for change in EMI. This is ridiculous.
For every request, they take 2-3 weeks of time. For getting online access for your home loan, you have to have a saving account with Kotak. Option for getting interest certificate is there with online banking but it doesn't work even complaining for years. Most frustrating factor is that how much you criticize them on any social media or sites like mouth shut, they don't show any intent of apologies or to improve services and you feel like banging your head against the wall. Kotak is only service provider I have seen where grievances on Facebook are not handled with utmost care/critical.
Interest rate is higher than what market offers but biggest satisfaction is service.This is my experiences with Kotak and finally I am moving away. Rest choice is yours.
