Hi all, First i'd like to thank Mouthshut for givin me an opportunity to speak my mind in this space. am a regular reader of reviews at MS, and in fact I bought my Santro in 2006, after goin through all the car reviews at MS, and am so happy with it.
Well, so I thought of sharing my experience with my TVS XL Super with you all.
I bought the TVS XL super three years ago. The vehicle is an excellent utility vehicle with a few disadvantages too.
One disadvantage is the fact that you can't expect to vroom fast on your XL Super cos it lets u down.
Second, the pulling power is not at all enough. Two people of 70 kgs each cannot ride comfortably well on a XL Super cos of it's low pulling capacity.
Otherwise, the vehicle is value for money.
But last week, when I went to the service centre to service my TVS XL Super, at TVS Sathyaa, Tambaram, I was in for a rude shock. They said they need to change the piston and that they dont have stock of that. They asked me to take the vehicle after four days. It took these service people twenty five days to return my vehicle, as every time I keeep ringing them I get very poor response saying piston not yet arrived- piston not yet arrived. What a poooor service!
When I took along some of my friends to enquire one last time about the'status' of my vehicle, we were in for more shocks. The sight of the service centre was pathetic!
Ill equipped, thinly staffed, under aged(teen aged) lanky guys from rusty background, bad mouthed, foul mouthed etcc etcc were manning the service department. No proper service uniformss. all n dirty t shirts and sooty jeans.!
When we asked these guys what happened to our TVS XL SUPER, they coolly said, piston has not arrived. We saw upstairs, vehicle dismantled, waiting for 25 days for the piston.
Finally when after 25 days, when we got our bill, we were shocked to find the bill amount. A whopping Rs.4000/- We all were surprised.! For no proper specification, with some technical jargon, they've charged needless money.! They also changed one tyre guard replacing it with an old one.!
It's sheer robbery under the guise of service station.!
Now I advise all my friends and well wishers to avoid this TVS Sathyaa motors like a plague. THe last place on earth to visit for buying a bike or for servicing ur TVS!
I still don't know why TVS has given their dealership to this bullshit of a showroom.
