Over 9 months of happy ownership & no problem so far.
Purchase decision: based on ride quality & comfort for both rider & pillion. No other scooter in this segment could beat Wego in these criteria after test ride.
Ride quality: Initially pickup is good and it never feels lack of power while riding. it really feels smooth n that gives an pleasurable experience to ride this vehicle on any kind of road.
Advantage: being full metal body it still feels lighter in weight & very easy to handle. All thanks to bigger tyres & its main feature "the body balance tech" that simply does the right job.
Handling: its handle bar doesn’t feel stiff or bulky like other scooters n that makes it easy to maneuver in city traffic or in bad road conditions.
Mileage: good of around 45kmpl+/-2kmpl in city conditions & it has given 50+kmpl on highways most of the times.
Negatives: the only thing I would say negative is lack of space. In this Mahindra's Duro beats almost every other scooter in the market.
Battery has given no problem so far and is giving good responce. Cold start is no problem, I don’t remember to have ever kick started this scooter so far.
the battery problem might be present in units manufatured in 2010-11 but same seems to be fixed in later production.
Verdict: TVS company being one of the pioneers in scooters & mopeds has given us some excellent products over the years. TVS Wego is one such innovative product resulting out of their huge experience in the field of automobiles. Wego is a product that is fully made & owned by India and a finest product to display India's technological capability in automobiles, which is at par with today's leading competitors from around the world. Also that gives me enough reason to be proud to own a truely Indian product.
