I have bought TVS Victor GLX (New) with alloy wheels and DuraLife Engine on 7th March '06.
It's been two months since and I have not faced any major problems except the starting trouble. The Milage is about 55-60 km/l. Which is OK for city driving.
The bike is relatively error free. But one thing missing is power. The bike just refuses to go beyond 60kmph in 4th Gear easily. You have to accelerate for sometime to go beyond it and also it makes you feel unsafe and starts to vibrate. Which makes me feel the need for fifth gear. Otherwise, this bike is relatively smoother, compared to all the bikes in the same category.
This bike is perfect for city conditions because it can race to 40-50kmph in no time. But in open roads, when you want to race, this bike makes up for a bad choice.
All in all, I would say a safe bike for City Conditions. For racing and better engine quality, I would recommend Honda Unicorn or TVS Apache.
