Hi pals this is Krishna Kumar, i own a TVS Victor GLX for more than 18 months now and I believe this review will be useful for the people who plans to opt for this BIG BOY.
@ In terms of looks it is best in class(pulsar and CBZ combo), make sure that you apply teflon coating when you order for this byke(Just 500 Extra), i have a red and white combo and till date it shines so beautifully and people ask me is it from showroom(LOL)
@In terms of milege a decent on a well maintained GLX can definitely give you upto 55- 60 in city and 60-65 kmpl in high way, but for the same you have to ensure that you fill up your tank immediately when the reserve falls
->however a normal maintained or 0 maintained glx will end up somewere around 40- 45 KMPL, but not less than that that is for sure
@In terms of performance it is not powerful like discover, fazer, Unicorn u can still relate it to passion as the pickup is not good enough for the 125 cc engine.
@Engine is superb, noiseless I am sure you will doubt if the engine is on or off in a noisy signal, such a noiseless engine and zero vibration(alike splendor)
@the main issue with this bike is the road grip, the byke is exxxxxttttreeeemly slippery, in normal roads and pathetic in wet roads, so make sure that you always wear a helmet when you ride this Guy.
@When you apply brakes at 60 or above it will dance Rap, Disco, folk etc.in the center of the road as it has zero road grip, so it is a 100% safeless machine when you compare it with brakes of pulsar.
@the byke may reach a max speed of 105 - 107 without vibration, however I dont recommend people driving more than 60 in this one like pulsar or cbz as the road grip is zero and you will end up braking your head though you were a helmet
Final sum up:
If you want the best out of this byke You need to do alterations as follows.
->Replace the front tyre with the back tyers and replace the back with the baloon tyres or pulsar 180 tyre atleast which increases the road grip and guards your head than a helmet
->Replace the handle with pipe handle bar, take off your tank covers, tune your engine and replace the jet valve in the carburetor with a big one( Requires expert mechanics).
And now you can rock and roll in you GLX and I am sure every ones eyes will be at you .
If you are an expert driver pulsars , CBZ why not Thunderbirds will be way behind you as this guy can yell out more power than them and with the above alteration I have reached 120 -125(!).
But wonder is with above alteration and enormous power the byke is still giving me a milege of 45.
