I am a military officer. My wife purchased a TVS Jupiter from Dharmana TVS, Gajuwaka, Vizag in December 2013.
The vehicle is extremely good and has been giving a mileage above 52 kms/litre consistently in the last one year of use.
I have even got a mileage of 55 kms/litre on a few occasions. Its an ideal vehicle for city commuting. I am very happy with the performance of the vehicle.
But my experience with the dealer Dharmana TVS has very poor. I was given a manual hand written bill when I purchased the vehicle. I was told that they had to format all their PCs due to raid by sales tax authorities.
A strange excuse from an authorized TVS dealer. Their Manager Mr Srinivas never attends calls when you call him. When you call on their office number his staff never connects calls to him.
Some excuse is given by the staff that he is not in office. He seems to have lunch from 12 to 3 pm everyday. The showroom is in a mess and does not befit a TVS showroom.
The staff is very cold and do not answer properly. Their service center is even worse. Even a roadside mechanic will have a neat and better organised place. The quality of service is also very poor.
I gave my old Kinetic scooter as buyback to Dharmana TVS for which I was given a discount of Rs 3000.00. I asked the staff for a receipt for a scooter being bought back.
They said that their buyback agent was not in the showroom and would get in touch with me to complete the buy back formalities.
I believed them and left the showroom with the new scooter. Despite repeated reminders the buy back guy never got in touch.
I moved to Hyderabad on transfer in May 2014. I have been contacting them since May 2014 but there is no response from them. Mr Srinivas never picks up the calls. His Asst Manager whom I managed to get through was rude and abusive said my vehicle had been disposed off as scrap and cut the call.
I managed to get through to him again as asked him to give me a letter so that I can inform the RTO and get the registration closed. He then asked me for proof that they had bought the old vehicle.
He said he said that I can go to the police for all he cares. I have given my old vehicle trusting them. I am worried about it being used for some criminal activities. Please be careful in dealing with Dharmana TVS.
My experience with Shanti TVS Ashok Nagar Hyderabad, authorized service center has also been bad. They get too many vehicles for servicing and therefore the quality of service is poor.
The staff is rude. They damaged my scooter and returned it. They refused to accept it and told me that I was lying. I complained on the TVS website. But there was no response from them.
While I am very happy with the vehicle, my experience with the dealer and service centers has been bad.
I hope TVS does something drastic to improve the service centers and the way customers are treated.
