Purchased by me in the month Jan 2006 from another owner (who btw went abroad and had to sell) through a bike reseller from the Pune market, the bike was in mint condition, with only 10000kms on it. It was an easy decision to make. (Only thing I was scared was about buying from the Pune used bike market). Though I had an company Indica to ferry me from and to work, I used the bike about once in a week.

Residing in Pimpri, initially my workplace was at Hinjewadi and then shifted near Saptashringi temple in the month of April 2006.

In the 10 months that I was in Pune I added about 1800 kms to the bike and those 1800 kms were an absolute joy. Without getting into too many details, many of those kms that I added to the bike were double seat :) .

The ride quality was always great. Fuel consumption not a worry and riding the bike has been a joy. Especially NOTE WORTHY is the seating position. Have ridden this bike from Pune to Mumbai in an almost non stop ride, I was amazed that my back didnt feel tired, forget sore after such a long ride. The comfort of the ride is almost unbelievable.

Before you start accusing me of advertising the bike let me be very clear.

Since my residence is Mumbai (and I already owned an RX 100 for Mumbai), my expectation, when I bought the bike was of a commute bike which could do me justice mainly in the following areas - comfort, mileage and maintenance. And on all these parameters the bike was a 100 %.

Now for the other side of the bike -->

Performance. This bike is no Ninja, or a Pulsar or for that matter an Apache. But lets remember it never claimed to be one.

And even though I have touched speeds of 100 kmph (when I finally brought the bike from Pune to Mumbai in Sept 2006), I would never dare to touch that speed single seat. The reason is simple. Single seated, after about 70 kmph the bike really shakes in the wind. Its a fact. But double seated it is much more stable at those speeds.

All in all, this is the perfect bike commute bike which requires minimal maintenance (I never had to do any repairs, though by nature I am very disciplined and would always get the bike serviced at the Chinchwad authorised TVS center about every 3 months.)

And to keep things in perspective, I used to ride a Pulsar (of the person whose residence I was a paying guest in.), have owned an RX 100, an Yezdi and ridden almost every bike that is available in the Indian market (before Sep 2006).

And till date, I am yet ro find an as reliable, smooth, comfortable (no other bike gives such good comfort for continuous long rides), hassle-free bike.
