I am well experienced middleware engineer, having 8+ years, unknowingly joined Syntel. After one month, I came to know below problems
1. Groupism. I worked for almost five companies earlier but I did not find this much of groupism anywhere. If you have half-headed manager as your boss, you'll be pissed off.
2. No time limits. I have seen my team members faced strenuous situations and hesitated to leave the office even after completion of 12-hour work schedule. To my surprise, team members should serve 12-hour shift even if there is no work.
3. Politics. If you are a manager, then its a party time. You don't have any work, simply playing politics is manager's duty. If you are a team member, then you are the most sufferer and you really suck.
4. Worst work culture If the person is well-habituated with armpit-lick, then he can survive in the company even if does not know the technology. So called team will be performing their duties individually. If anyone try to collaborate, no one will support, cheap people, so called competition.
5. Least salary hikes and poor HR policies Don't expect hikes here. Salary will be hiked to your surprise by 1% also here.
6. Cheap Support Projects Already staying persons generally pretend that they are doing some work but joke is work will not be there for their support projects.
CONCLUSION If you don't have any other job, even then, don't think of it
