i always thought india is a great country, what what lacks is people not working together and making it a better place, swades throws that messege hard to you. Shahrukh khan has never won a national award and this movie in my view should have brough him close to getting one. (disscussions on comment board about this) But that aint the point. Its the story is what makes swades bigger then many films. Its the heart of the film Ashitosh really did put alot of him in this movie, what he thinks we should do and he did it in a way that makes us think what can we do about our country. A film where mohan goes to india in search of his nanny and ends up finding his routes and connects with the people in the village. Bring in electricty which was a problem in this village, A scene worth watching out for is the train/water scene. Amazing acting by shahrukh khan, him drinking the water and the emotional look in his eyes is amazing, the speech he made about how he beileves we are not the most best country in the world and how we always bring parampara and our disaplin in and say we are the best country ever. How we always point to other people each time we have a problem with our country instead of working together. the newcommer gaytri is really amazing her womans right speech is really good as well. Some funny momments in this movie have no idea how this film bombed people have got to wake up and watch the good movies like this..highly recormended
