Totally unreliable and quality less product. Review on Suzuki GS150R

I bought Suzuki GS150R in December 2010. I was about to go for Honda Unicorn but since I owned a Suzuki Fiero at that time I had soft corner for Suzuki and bought selected GS150R over unicorn which was a grave mistake. I have always taken my bike for servicing  at the interval specified by manufacturer at authorised service center. But I started having issues with the bike with in 6 months only. The mileage dropped below 40 kmpl even though I rode my bike in Economy mode( Which basically is indicator for gear shift for optimum mileage) . I kept complaining to service center technicans. But they didn't do anything considerable just general service. But later I complained the issue to Suzuki Motorcycles India and I must admire them for responding to my complain immediately and issue was resolved.

But the main issue was yet to come. I had a serious engine issue a year back at just 34000 km. Engine oil was dropping was very rapidly when my bike had clocked just 25000 km and  when I informed the same to service center they didnt take it seriously and neglected it as normal. But at 34000 km the issue became very severe and engine oil was dropping below minimum level at just 1000 kms. The service center guys suggested me change engine block and piston rings as a solution. And after speaking Suzuki India representatives I came to know that since it been 5 years and have covered more than 25000 km it doesnt come under warranty, Which is fair enough. But had Service center guys taken feedback seriously when it was repeatedly mentioned to them I might have got it warranty. But lets leave that behind. I was expecting a trouble free operation of bike after spending almost INR 5000 on for overhauling the engine.  But no it was beginning of another trouble. After overhauling within 2 months engine oil started leaking from engine block area.  I informed the service center personals about the issue and they told it might been an issue with gasket. So they replaced gasket and applied sealant and gave the bike. But the issue repeated. Infact I went with same issue to them more than 5 times and all they did was replace gasket and apply sealant and every time I had shed amount from my pocket. In the end I got really upset and took support of Suzuki motorcycle india. They instructed the Service center to look into the matter and then it was realised that there was issue with valve. Great!. So finally the leakage has stopped. But now again my engine oil is getting consumed and there  leakage at kick start. And because all the work on the engine, the engine has become totally uncharacteristic of what it is supposed to do. I am totally fed up of the product and service center.

But engine issue is not limited to my bike it exists in lot of suzuki bikes let it be slinshot or access or GS150R. So my advice is to avoid any products from Suzuki as they are unreliable in long run.

But I appreciate quick response from Suzuki Motorcycles india to my complaint.
