Story:

The best selling, and popular native Indian writers( because most of Indian writers become famous abroad as NRIs), has come up with this very interesting, “provocative, no-holds-barred guide to the Indian man”.

I thought that men are same all over the world if what John Gray says in “Men are from mars…” is any indication, but Shobha thinks that Indian men are a class apart!, to an extent they really are!

Surprisingly for a woman, Shobha has explored the inner most layers of a mans psyche and has not only unraveled, but written explicitly about the most intimate, secretive, and innermost thoughts and fantasies of men…which they never talk about, not even amongst their closest male friends,there is a slim chance that any man will bare his true self to any woman, especially his wife/girlfriend….but then Shobha is a master, she can charm the xxxxx off any man and make him to confess anything!

Shobhas hidden anger,disappointment,suppressed hurt(presumably caused by a man), extremely chauvinistic views to the extent of applying for a title of FCB(female-chauvinistic-bitch) come through.. Women develop this hostile,revengeful,secretly hateful attitude towards men, only when they become wives, they can manage a man as a father, brother, a son, its only husbands they feel difficult with! Well, Shobha has provided an in-depth analysis and a bare-it-all guide to women of India, which can really help them understand and manage men. I only hope that this book does not turn them into full fledged “man-hater”brigade”>

For all those dovy eyed,fantasy filled,innocent girls chasing dreams, and looking for a paradise in a man/boyfriend/husband…this book is a must read. I recommend that every father should make this book a compulsory reading for his growing up/grown up daughters….It’s the same for young boys/men too..they must know what they will grow up to be!

Despite being a man, despite being hurt by many of the generalized/universalized statements and accusations that Shobha has made against each and every Indian man, I still salute her for for the research, analysis, convictions, and courage to write the book…that’s thoroughly entertaining for men, and thoroughly educative to women. There are many things on which Shobha is wrong and we men have to debate about these.

a. ”Men and money are rarely parted”…NO!, men spend most (90%) of their earnings on women!….mothers, sisters, daughters, wives (in that order?)

b. “Men go to extremes to conceal their income”…NO!, men dutifully hand over their salary packets to their wives/mothers minus their pocket expenses(which may be undefined)

There are many such statements which are WRONG!

To a range of self-raised(womanly)questions such as;

  1. Are men worth the time women spend on them?

  2. Can you really love a man?

  3. Do men have any real feelings?

  4. CAN MEN AND WOMEN BE EVER REAL FRIENDS?

Shobha clearly answers in a capital..NO!

She admits that women are sly,secretive,crafty,manipulative, and not only applauds these qualities but also encourages….in the process gives valuable information to men, how they are manipulated and controlled by women.

Women are very intelligent, powerful, and manipulating…men don’t know it! Men are really jerks…I agree
