I earlier used OMO when we were living overseas, however I have not seen it in the supermarket in India so I switched to Surf Excel quickwash. It costs nearly double that of its ordinary version - Surf Excel Blue I think. But, worth it. My 8 yr old daugther spills food on her clothes, or any other mess - colours, mud etc but I don't find it a problem.
The clothes just go into my top loading washing machine along with a reasonable qty of powder (I don't even use a full scoop) and they come out clean. Phew! This is a mother's blessing. However, I noticed that shirt collars don't come out as clean, sadly.
The fragrance is mild and nice. It does not leave any residue on clothes. And best of all, it does not ruin fabric in the long run. My mother used to use these cheap powders, and our clothes would be worn out or tear soon. But this product is more sensitive and I think technologically advanced. This product works for all types of clothes - cotton, linen, nylon etc however colours will run from poor quality fabrics and I don't think that can be blamed on this product.
