To make the best of our long weekend from 24th to 26jan our family visited a sisters farmhouse at Nasik. with the best climate and the scenic location we were really freaking out. Visiting the Sula Vineyard was on our itinery.
Sula our very own Indian wine, owned by Mr. Sawant from Nasik and named Sula from his mothers name Sulabha. The finest Indian wines produced at the sula wines
in 30 acres of grape farming and wine making project, has six different flavors to offer in two categories of red and white wine. A taste and tour programmer is arranged where you are taken around the property and shown where and how the wines of all flavors are made, bottled and packed. then you are offered to taste all six varieties of wines and shown how wine should be consumed.
Of course they have on sale all the products and not forgetting the Sula sparking wine which is excellent and easy of your pockets. one can also sit around on tables set all over the open balcony. We ordered for a huge Sula wine bottle and some cheese and dry fruits and cheese lings as accompaniments. Sipping wine at the origin gave us some kick.
We bought a lot of wines and sparking wine bottles to take home and they are definitely very cheap at the vineyard. Huge crowds of people around were gaining knowledge on wine making a few were enjoying the thrills of stamping the grape fruits although wine is no more produced by stamping the grapes. all in all it was a good experience as we were also interested in grape farming.
Visit the place to see the manufacturing of wines.Taste all the flavours under one roof .buy at their outlet, it is cheaper than elsewhere. Negative point: tour and taste round is expensive @ Rs 120/- per person and too little wine to taste.
