Strand Book Store is an institution in Mumbai for all book lovers. It is run by Mr. T N Shanbag and his son with complete passion, that is what makes it different from all other bookstores. It is not just a commercial establishment, it gives feeling of being in someone's home. Spread in 2 stores, it is filled with bookshelves like in a library with books of all genres from fiction and non-fiction, thriller, crime, biographies, autobiographies, war stories, Indian authors, British authors and everything else one can imagine. If there is a book not available here, they will also note it down and order it exclusively for their readers! My family has been here for over a decade and we will continue to patronize it for many more years.
