The hospital of your nightmares. I'm a localite staying in Baroda, I don't know what made me go to this hospital. It's only advertisements, the word of mouth reputation Sterling has in Baroda is very bad.

My father died of swine flu in the second week of May 2017. They put him on the ventilator and intubator in the middle of the night, and in few hours he had septic shock and multi organ failure. After that^, they checked for all the strains of bacteria for pneumonia he could be having, they kept in mind to check for everything except H1N1 because ethically they would be in trouble as they kept him in the critical care unit with other patients and it won't be possible to move him or keep him in isolated room because of the ventilator. In fact, they told one of the doctors we know that they have not checked for swine flu because it is difficult for them and pricey to check it. His lungs were collapsing but on the first day of hospitalization they did not alot him to a chest specialist or pulmonologist; he was being supervised by a general physician. It was the second day that a chest specialist came to see him, and find out what is affecting his lungs. He got Tamiflu after having multiple organ failures, the doctors kept giving hope. Then they did dialysis on him thrice in a span of 3 days. It was a traumatic experience.

My father was struggling to fight the illness and live, he did not want to die, in his last moments of pain when he was struggling there was a huge crowd in the Critical Care Unit who were laughing loudly. It was the staff. Can you understand how professional, sensitive or dedicated they are?

They didn't warn anyone that he could be having swine flu, they simply gave him Tamiflu in the night on the second day of hospitalization. We were all exposed to H1N1 and after my father, I got swine flu and I had to be hospitalized and treated for many days.

After his death, Sterling has given us hell. It was not easy to move his body to the Morgue, we needed many contacts and a lot of persuasion and money to simply move his body to another hospital. For 3 days of hospitalization and ventilator, they have charged us 2 lakh 35k which is pretty high, although he had mediclaim of 3 lakh even they are unwilling to cover it. Sterling charges heavily on consumables alone(that is not the cost of doctor visit or treatment) simply all the tests, equipment, etc alone comes to something like 85000 Rs which your health insurance will not pay based on their clauses.

Sterling takes a heavy caution deposit and today is July, although we have paid their entire fee they have not returned the caution deposit due to us. When it comes to taking back money, they will treat you shabbily as if you are coming to beg for their cash. It takes months, and calls, and visits and a lot of your time and money, to simply collect back that small deposit. It's best if this hospital shuts down, it has caused a lot of suffering to a lot of simple people, you won't ever know about because they can't write reviews.

We have sadly become a casualty and a case study, but when you analyze you can see their tactics, how many unnecessary and untimely procedures they have done on someone the medical professionals clearly understand, as having little chance of survival, for the sake of a huge bill.
