SBI being a Banker to maxium citizens of the country, is not good at rendering customer service. Maybe because of the high customer base, it can't give good service all the time, but I never seen anyone getting satisfied service from this Bank.
The Bank has got the branches located in all the corners of the country and ATMs availability also good. Its other products like internet banking and en banking are technically very nice.
But, whenever we give any complaint/request on any of the products, we don't get proper response.
That too after merger of its associate banks, the service became very bad. My friend who has be maintaining his OD-Loan facility With SBH @ 10.50% ROI, now after merger his OD is getting charged @15% . He has been complaining the same, but no response from the Bank official. This is an example about the customer service problem with SBI.
So, think once before opening an account with this Bank because now a days, there are many Banks in thex market which are giving excellent customer service.
