Story:

I wonder why this happens only in India? If a woman is after a man why does he think she literally dies for him. The other way round is fine.If a man runs after a woman its absolutely fine. Thankfully this doesnt happens in West. Philip Adler never ever had this opinion when a very beautiful, sexy, much ambitious Lara was after him. Both of them had a completely different world to live. He belonged to the world of music and she was a multimillionare bulider. Philip understood her feelings and sentiments when she confessed her love for him.

I think true love always prevails. It was the true love between both of them that binded them together even after Philip was terribly injured in an intended accident by one of an obsessed lover of Lara Cameroon. Lara had time for her husband Philip when he was paralysed. She gave importance to her Husband and career took a backseat and in the end her patience pays off. The person behind all this was known and Philip gets recovered and the novel ends with a very happy note.

The novel is very good and I think Lara's character is somewhat exagarated sometimes. Some of her qualities like having feelings for some people who helped them out has been explained in too details. She had enjoyed being with a man who was old enough to be her father and had intended being faithful to him though everything changed after meeting with the man of her dreams, Philip Adler.

Sidney Seldon has very well understood the psychology of a woman. He hasnt left any bits of traits of a woman's character and has explained all phase of life of a woman in this novel. He has explained it in the picture of a child, what her feelings will be as a child, then he has explained he psychology as a teenaged girl and as a woman. Hats off to him

I think the writer has done a brilliant job in this novel! It could be a booster to every career oriented woman. Its the husband who is important and not her career only.
