The author, Sandra Brown is a bestselling novelist who is known for romantic and suspense thrillers. It is an interconnecting story.
It revolves around the news reporter Tiel and a teenage couple running from an evil multi millionaire father. They all end up being in the same store while the standoff takes place. The plot is not that powerful, however, Brown’s writing makes it interesting.
There are a lot of holes in the story and at times the characters seem disoriented. Overall it is an entertaining one time read. The standoff part is interesting as the protagonist struggles to take a stand. It is an easy and a casual read, nothing too intense. I personally like Brown’s romantic novels more, like The Crush.
