I went to St. Xavier's High School - Andheri. At a walking distance from my house was the biggest advantage of studying here. What the place offered, I didn't realize its value until I went to college and mixed up with students from different schools.
That changed my views on my alma mater. I have had the best time of my life here, memorable fun and made some friends for life. Studies, I was not really someone that interested, instead I was among those "outstanding" students who stood outside the class.
Teachers are pretty strict about homework. When it comes to extra-curricular activities, I think no other institution must've had more. March pass, band, singing group, athletics, dance festivals, INMUN conference(Indian Model United Nations), in-house competitions, debates, the school had it all. We had our sports week where all the schools from Xavier's group competed against each other, A grand annual day every alternate year at Bhaidas Hall.
Two wonderful farewells in 10th grade(official and unofficial). Attendance was not that strict. One place where sports was also given importance. You were encouraged for being active in sports. Those who studied in the Xavier's group of schools owned by Pinto share pretty much the same values. In fact I bonded with a friend over Xavier's. Although we came from different schools, the culture was same because the top management was the same. This place brings out the outspoken personality in you, it makes you active and competitive.
