St john's hospital!!.The worst experience of my life.Recently my grand father was admitted to that life taking hospital i.e St john's. The staff is really bad. My grandfather had a fall from his scooter and had suffered injury to his head and was profusely bleeding. There was nobody to clean the blood which came out from his mouth, ear and nose. My mother asked those so called doctors and nurses to give gauze to clean the blood that was oozing from his nose like a water coming out of a tap.
The response was cold. She had to run from pillar to post to get the gauze to clean the blood oozing out. My mother saw those so called doctors and practicing doctors playing with their mobiles and chatting without paying any attention in the so called EMERGENCY DEPARTMENT. My grandfather was sitting on the bed complaining of tremendous headache but the so called doctors said that he was fine and that he was sitting on the bed, my mother started asking the so called doctor in charge whether they diagnosed the cause for the profuse bleed from my grandfather's nose, mouth and ear.
The answer she got was that she need not worry as he was sitting in the bed and not unconscious. Like this 3 hours passed, nothing was done to my grandfather and ultimately when my mother started asking them continuously, then the supposed to be doctor in charge called one neurosurgeon who suggested a CT scan of the brain to be done. But no help to shift my bleeding grandfather for scanning, then my parents only shifted my grandfather to the scanning room all by themselves and got the CT scan done, which showed considerable damage to the brain, this happened after three good long hours.
Any Tom, Dick and Harry knows that in case of any injury to the head or fall, the immediate time that follows this incident is called GOLDEN HOUR and immediate attention has to be given to the victim, otherwise anything may happen.
The attitude of the supposed to be doctors in St. John's proved very costly for my grandfather, they performed the surgery also late and in the emergency unit (this is only a final passage for the loved ones) they knew that his blood pressure was low, but did not take any measures to improve it, we were not allowed to step in and what they did to my grandfather was send him to another world. He passed away peacefully after the surgery.
My suggestion to all those who read this is, for HEAVEN'S SAKE NEVER EVER GO TO THIS HOSPITAL IF YOUR LOVED ONE HAS SOME SERIOUS HEALTH ISSUE, ELSE BE READY TO CONDUCT THE LAST RITES.
If you tell them anything, they say that they see thousands of such cases like this everyday, so they are not bothered. So, PLEASE BE VERY CAREFUL WHILE GOING TO THIS HOSPITAL FOR ANY HEALTH CONCERN.
