Shrinathji's is a small restaurant on a busy Senapati Bapat Road, Lower Parel, Mumbai. We had been for a family dinner on a weekend. The restaurant takes orders till 11 pm, which is a great advantage if you are considering a get-together or a dinner late in the evening on weekdays. However, the rush increases after around 9 pm.
The space inside is small but well organized. On one side there is a large counter for cakes and take-away snacks. The restaurant offer saattvik, vaishnav food i.e. there are no onions and garlic in any of their preparations. There are idols of Lord Jagganathji consecrated in a niche above the counter. The food prepared is ritually offered to the Lord.
A wide variety across different cuisines is available. The food is flavorsome and succulent. The portions are just right; neither too meager nor too plentiful. All items are appropriately priced. The rates are not at all expensive. The staff is courteous, knowledgeable and can be depended upon for assistance in selection. Though the service is a bit slow, the food is worth waiting for. Ambiance is clean and clutter-free.
It's a very famous place for ordering executive lunches in the offices nearby. A must visit place if you are a Jain or a Vaishnav observing dietary restrictions.
Though the restaurant does not have a reserved parking space, the staff will assist you getting your car safely parked.
