Good for food, Bad for cakes. Review on Srinathji's, Lower Parel, Mumbai

I have had mixed experience with this outlet of Srinathji's. Since I like vegetarian food most of the time and even my family only occasionally has non-veg I always prefer veg places to go to and Srinathji's is a pure veg chain of outlets so I like them. I have had chaats here and they are fantastic, my daughter loves the Mumbai Masala Sandwich here which is a huge sandwich loaded with veggies and is very value for money since it is just about 100 rupees! Similarly, they serve good Indian, chinese, continental food which we have tried. We love the American corn cheese balls, Nachos and Chole Bhature. Food taste is not always very authentic but with good use of cheese and sauces and spices they make it delicious. Seating is a bit cramped but a lot of people can be seated so that is a plus, it gets crowded during lunch and dinner timings since there are a lot of offices around. Staff is quick and price points are reasonable. They have amazing sweets like gulab jamuns, rasgullas, barfi, laddoo etc. which are authentic in taste and value for money too.

But the only time my daughter got a Pineapple cake from here for a friend in college, it turned out to be stale! It took over 1.5 hours to reach at her friend's place also and to top it all, the cream topping was stale, stinking and simply uneatable. So they had to throw it away and get another cake from Merwans which was amazing. This was the only bad experience we had so we suggest it for food, not for cakes!
