Watching sequels is something I still have get used to. Part 2s always make me nervous, I keep asking a zillion questions to myself, Wil it work?, will it live up to its prequel, or will
it make me hate the original all the more. Am a viewer who makes it a point to get his hard-earned moneys worth out of a flick, and I am proud about it. So when I say out loud that-- Spiderman 2 rocks!!! have no 2 doubts about it, coz you are for a ride you wont regret.
The movie works on many level, the script it tight, the special effects get better as the film proceeds, and Tobey suits the part like his latex suit fits his tight a$$ (yes girls thats the a$$ you wanan grab!!).
For a minute forget the hoop-la, the zillion dollars the movie has made at the box-office, all the promotion that Sony slapped on our face. Strip Spiderman from all the expectations stuck on his mask, and then look at the story. Yes, this movie has a story that works, it has something to relate to, for all of us.
Spiderman2 should be seen for the story of Peter Parker, the internal struggle that he goes through, how he rises to be the man he is actually meant to be, how he realises that there actually is a hero in all of us, and that its not meant to be a sloppy line, yes this movie actually makes you believe that if need be all of us can rise to the occasion, and be a spiderman too.
Ofcourse the movie also has some kick-ass action scenes, unbelieveable special effects, watching Spidey soar through the skylines of New York, gave me goosebumps. I wanted to be him, and for a moment I was, in the end when he is liberated from all his worries, when everything is clear, when he doesnt need to live a 2-faced life, and be all that he is, he just soars through the sky like a bird, a perfect ending to a ultra perfect movie.
To those who still havent seen Spidey2, I d say Lazy bones, get ur sloppy a$$e$$ off the couch and go see Spidey, coz its worth the ride!!
Definitely cant wait for Spidey3!
