I hardly get to see such english movies - typically, english movies based on Cartoon/Novel based characters !! I use to live with a preconceived notion that such movies are meant for Kids !! but this movie made me have a second thinking about it and infact changed my opinion i use to have ! Boy... an ultimate movie it is !! Am not going to talk about the action part of the movie !i think you should see it on the big screen and get the feel ! Rather its gonna be something different which i want to highlight.

When i went for the movie (just coz my friend had an extra ticket), i had a feeling that it would be a crap repeating the TV Serial version of the same character ! But as soon as i entered the Multiplex(here in chennai) on the opening day of the movie,i could sense something different ! the crowd & the atmosphere was charged and electric.But,even amidst that,the strength of Kids in the theatre made me go back to my notion !

Infact i had not seen the 1st part of the movie(and am yet to see that !!).
Cinema,to my knowledge and understanding is meant for the people to realise their unfulfilled - Larger than life - dreams.But when it goes beyond an extent,say a Terminator 3 or some other science fiction movies where the scenes shown wont come even in the wildest of any human being’s dream it’s terrible dissappointment for you trying to see something sensible in a movie hall.But SP does not come under that unimaginable category as they have picturised in a way anybody would beleive - it’s possible.

Spider-Man 2 had an exceptional performace from Tobey. His facial expressions were flamboyant and gave a glimpse of his acting prowess. Be it the scene where he is left without a penny (or) where he finds that he does not have the Spider power !! A fantastic performance ! Above all, being an indian, the emotional plane of the movie is the one which touched me a lot and made it stand apart from the regular hollywood flicks.

If am not wrong, this is the second movie after ’’TITANIC’’ which showcased emotions so much. You hardly get to see such things in a hollywood movie - The lighter side of a character. Again, the picturisation needs a special mention if this review wants to have a complete look. Never in the movie you get a feel that your seeing a Graphic animation. It gives you a feel that its happening in reality ! Be it the scenes where he flies from one to another skyscrapper: be it the scene where he stops the train!! The graphic/special effects team deserves a special accolade.

So finally let me conclude that SP is a movie which can be compared to an Indian Masala Food which has everything in the right proportion (Am not talking abt the Bollywood Masala movie, Pls don understand that way, for it wud be a crime comparing SP to the typical Bollywood flicks) - Action, Special effects/Graphics, Emotion and what not !! I am looking forward eagerly to SP 3 and I promise I will see it the opening day !
