As a part of my work, I am required to travel by airplanes more than often. Its like 4-5 a month. So the comfort offered by airplanes is highly important for me. Yes, food and services are also high on the list. But the best part is that I quite like traveling by air. But need to keep in mind the growing expenses. So I look at the different options. Air Deccan, Spice Jet, Kingfisher (it costs a fortune).



Recently I wanted to cut down the expenses on my air travel. But my question is…are low cost airlines really safe? Over the past years, I was tempted every now and then to travel by low cost airlines. The cheap air rates seemed to beckon me and reduce my expenses. I usually travel by Spice Jet and the experience so far has been really good. I am too scared to travel by Air Deccan after hearing the scary experience of people who were traveling in the Air Deccan flight whose South American pilot was grounded for drinking while flying or did you hear of the Air Deccan flight from Calcutta that plunged down from 35000 ft. to 8000 ft. in a free fall state. Oxygen masks came out and passengers were almost scared to death.


So I ask you friends, do low cost airlines mean high risk to your lives?
