Cheap means lowering flying standards !

I have got a chance or rather intention to travel Delhi on last friday (24.6.05) from Mumbai to Delhi on their late night flight 118 at 20.15 pm via Ahmedabad. I have travelled on other low frill airlines hence, had some idea about their facilities and standards. However, i never knew the rude behaviour of crew members inside the aircraft.

I reached the airport early in order to avoid rains and thought of having some bite after check-in. The counter which should have opened atleast 6.30-7.00 pm, was opened around 7.30 and was first to go for boarding pass. I wonder the staff was not even trained to generated boarding pass and did not know, even the seats were pre-reserved. When she asked about my preference for seat, i told her my seats are already allotted, u need to issue only boarding pass and on consultation, she could print the boarding pass. (What a first experience)

Initially, flight was announced 20 minutes late however, it took around 45 minutes to fly. I wont blame the airlines as the weather conditions were not good. I boarded the flight and generally i give last call to my house after i board the flight and before the doors are closed. I called up my home and thought of playing chess on my mobile(PDA) for some time, before flight takes -off. However,i was shocked to hear the rude and heavy voice of crew member (Oops, i forgot his name), who has asked me to switch off my mobile. The overall body language and his tone was not comfortable. I told him, i have already switched off my mobile, instead of requesting with smiling face, he ordered me to switch off the mobile (You have to switch off the mobile). I understand the seriousness and could have done that but the way he spoke was such as if i m travelling free.

On landing, they could not manage the ladders for both the doors, and opened only front doors, which has further created anger among the passengers. I heard, people saying, disgusting, no more spice jet. I also felt so and dont have any further desire to travel to get treatment like this :(.

My recommendation, avoid such airlines, who have just started, they need to learn alot,before setting up entire stream.
