I had been wanting to go to Hyderabad for a vacation and was scrounging around for a good low fare flight.... thats when i saw the Ad for Spicejet in the Hindu saying "fly for as low as Rs99/-"..Who in their right mind can resist something like that right!!! So i got onto their site a couple of days later, once i had finalised the dates etc, and booked my round trip ticket from Chennai to Hyd and back online and got the ticket in less than a couple of mins.. No hassles, no delays, no technical problems....

The total cost was Rs2500/- (Round trip from Chennai to Hyd and back), booked about a week ahead of date of flight .

The ticket also mentioned that i need to check in 2hours ahead of time and so i grudgingly got to the airport at 10mins to 6 for a flight that was to take off at 8.20pm...Also make sure your carrying a Valid Photo ID,cos they check it at airport entrance and again while checking in ....Got the baggage checked in, i was the 1st and then killed about an hour cos the people at the Spicejet counter said chk in time is 6.30 only...  Anyways, got that done and boarded the plane, the staff on board were absolutely amazing, very polite and graceful and quite friendly,. Cos after they announced to switch off Mobiles, i turned on mine to Flight mode to listen to music and the steward who was about to reprimand me for keeping it on,saw the music screen and smiled and went away...

On the flight back as well, the staff were extremely helpful esp since we all boarded the plane in Hyd and the passengers who had hopping in in Delhi had used up most of the cabin storage space.. THey helped us find space for our bags n seated us comfortably... the cookies they served were also pretty good- Butter and chocolate are 2options you have...

All in all, was one hellova flight... i would fly the airlines over and over again....
