Dear All...

This is to share my personal experience with SpiceJet. I have booked certain tickets online with Spicejet for the sector of Delhi to Ahmedabad for travel on 21st May for some of my
relatives and had to cancel the tickets for some reasons. I wanted to cancel the tickets online but there was no online cancellation facility in my account with Spicejet and so, I was advised to cancel the tickets via their so-called dedicated phone line, which is a mobile number operating from somewhere in Delhi - so, I made first of all a STD call, which lasted for more than 15 minutes, as ALL THEIR SERVICE REPS were busy (I donot know what they were doing) - FIRST DEMERIT.

Somehow I was able to talk to some rep on the number and he OBLIGED me by cancelling the tickets - now SECOND DEMERIT - SPICE JET NEVER RETURNS THE AMOUNT BACK TO YOU - IT REMAINS IN CREDIT IN YOUR ACCOUNT WITH SPICEJET FOR THE PERIOD OF ONE YEAR AND AFTER ONE YEAR - IT IS LAPSED - THIRD DEMERIT.

This was even OK. but what happened next was amazing - i cancelled the tickets on 8th May and somehow happened to check my account with SPICEJET yesterday - and I was shocked - as there was no mention of my cancelled ticket and also no mention of credit balance - and so, I called up again the so-called DEDICATED HELP Line of spicejet yesterday night - and believe it or not - call lasted for 45 minutes - as for the first 18 minutes - all the reps were busy (ONLY GOD KNOWS what the hell were they doing) and then it took me another 15 minutes to explain the situation to the most dumb Service Rep. - and after explaining everything - she said - that - MY ACCOUNT WOULD NOT SHOW THE CREDIT BALANCE, as I HAVE CANCELLED THE TICKETS OVER THE HELP LINE - now what difference does it make- whether i cancel it over phone or online, I am still not able to understand. and then she told that she is sending me e-mail with confirmation immediately, mentioning about my Credit balance with SPICEJET and GUYS - believe it or not - I am still waiting for the e-mail to reach me -

and finally i have sent a mail once again to SPICEJET and threatened to sue them - and i am approaching Consumer Protection Cell for this matter.

SO - MY ADVISE - GO BY AN INTERSTATE BUS OR EVEN GO ON A BULLOC CART - BUT NEVER OPT FOR SPICEJET - YOU WOULD HAVE THE WORST EXPERIENCE OF YOUR LIFETIME

IF POSSIBLE - FORWARD THIS MAIL TO AS MANY FRIENDS OF YOURS AS POSSIBLE PLEASE. THIS IS MY HUMBLE REQUEST TO YOU ALL.
