I am an old patient of Sparsh who was operated in 2010. I was very happy at that point of time to be at Sparsh and get treated by the best doctors there. The knowledge of the doctors, with the proficiency which they would handle a patient. All patients were treated with utmost care and it does not matter if it was at the general ward or the other end of the corridor private ward.
I still remember one of the doctors teaching his juniors about pain management and how its very important to keep the patient pain free even in the smallest of procedures. The nursing staff also at that time were amazing though most of them talked Malayalam they knew sufficient English to communicate.
Because of this I have also got my son operated for a growth in the knee and the care which was given to him was really good. He was taken care of by Dr. Prabhudev, Dr. Ravindra and Dr.Bharath. They formed a great team and it was a pleasure being under their care.
Just few days back I had gone back to Sparsh, what a change it was. There were no familiar doctors and the hospital looks like has become so money minded. The nursing staff at the reception have no clue of what they are doing. The doctors take their own time in seeing a patient. The waiting period is so long though I came early to the hospital.
The radiology and lab staff are so confused not knowing what to do. Radiology first one person comes and takes a shot, then he goes in loads it and then again takes another shot and then still not coming properly, now the senior comes and takes it one shot. We are also humans we don’t want to be subjected to so much of radiation.
Its high time Sparsh pulls up its pants, if they want to be good in the health industry. And it would be good to have things done more courteously. I agree its cut throat competition but there is a very thin line between being courteous and competitive and being arrogant and competitive.
