I bought the phone on 29th Dec 2013, and had to immediately send it in for a replacement as there was a prominent mark on the camera. I got the phone back in a few days, I was happy. Then suddenly after a few days of using the replaced phone, I started seeing some new issues crop up. This time the power button was not working right. The screen did not respond well to the touch, and finally the 3G was poor. I go back and submit my phone for a check, and TWO weeks now and I have no clue on what is happening. On checking with the Service Center, I was told that phone is supposedly discontinued and I need to pay an additional amount to get a new phone if I want one, or I should just accept a refurbished piece. Well, hello! I want a new phone and am not paying a single penny from my pocket!
To add to my misery! The customer service of this company is highly pathetic! I get through their toll free number after 15 minutes of wait time and when the person finally comes through on the other side he hangs up immediately after listening to my issue. For heavens sake you are a 35+ year old brand and this is how you treat your customers? DISGUSTING! I have not yet started talking about my issue in full and the guy just hangs up, even after repeatedly telling him that this call is being recorded and please do not disconnect the call. I am annoyed.
It is a serious recommendation to all, please do not go in for this brand. I have used Blackberry for over 2 years and I have been truly taken floored by the excellent service from the BlackBerry? team. Shame on you Sony!
