This is an amazing piece of technology; if you are a gizmo freak then go ahead with this masterpiece by sony; its slim and very powerfull in terms of batterylife and the visuals; amazing clarity if you are watching a movie on it .... far better than an ipod and the quality of music is also amazing if you use good headsets;
The only thing I would suggest is that don't go ahead and put any kind of an illegal software as it screws up the entire performance of a psp....and secondly its of no good use either as pirated games would not let you play all the levels; it would be incomplete games and also the originality is lost.
This is a sturdy device and afterall its a sony so no second thoughts on it......this is better that any playstation or an x box for the simple reason that you can carry it wherever you go and its a gr8 piece to flaunt too.
The only cons of this product is that the original games/memory stick are expensive but then its worth every penny...trust me
