Yes, the Sony PSP is the coolest handheld device ever, its slim body and shiny exterior, extreme graphics and ease of use propel it to one of the best electronics someone can own. the only drawback is it's sound output. there are two solutions to this, though.
1. Buy a T.V.-A.V. cable which has a MIN-B end. all sound will then come out of the television, this is the best solution and is very cheap.
2. Buy a set of PSP headphones. It is also equiped with a small remote control. This gives a decent sound, but is costly.
If you're deciding between which Playstation to choose here's a small comparision.
PLAYSTATION PLAYSTATION 2
VERY OLDDDDDDDDDD... QUITE OLD, ABOUT Rs. 6, 990.
IF YOU'RE EVEN THINKING THIS SYSTEM DOESN'T EVEN
ABOUT THIS SYSTEM, YOU'D COMPARE TO THE PSP, BUT
BETTER FORGET ABOUT IT. IS GOOD IF YOU HAVE A SMALL
( I DIDN'T KNOW THEY EVEN BUDGET.
MADE THESE THINGS ANYMORE.)
PLAYSTATION 3
SPANKING NEW, BUT Rs. 49, 990!
DON'T LET THE HIGH PRICE AND COOL
EXTERIOR FOOL YOU, THIS SYSTEM IS BETTER
THAN A P.S.P. , BUT ONLY BY THIS MUCH, AND
ISN'T PORTABLE.
As for the PSP, it costs Rs. 8, 990 and the lighter, slim version is the same. To play a game/movie, you have to get a Universal Media Disc or UMD. (sold seperately) Which costs around 1, 000 Rs. To save ANYTHING you need a Memory Duo Stick, and it's quite expensive to buy a good quality one.
