I had purchase a Sony Ericsson k220i in november, 2007 and within two mionths of its purchase the battery stopped charging. It was given to their service centre which diagnosed the problem as " Mal-functioning software' and returned the phone to me after three-four days. once again , this month, the same problem was noticed with a slight difference--
The fully charged battery used to get sudden;y discharged and the sreen went blank. A complaint was loged on Sony Ericsson's website and registration number 71735241, given to me last year at the time of lodgement of the first complaint, was updated.
The phone was again given to their service centre for repairs and at the time of collection the problem was again explained as 'malfunctioning software' .Since the phone is well within its warranty period I have asked the company to replace this defective mobile with a new one. As expexcted, no reply has been received. I would urge your members to think very carefully before going in for a Sony Ericsson product. this is a good chance of being taken for a ride--- like me !!!
