Sony CMD J6 can be easily categorized in the Light Featherweight category of Cell Phones. What attracted me to the product was its appeal. Very appealing compared to other models and also sophisticated. The jog dial (rotating button for accessing menus..) was a cool feature and also it has some very nice tunes. All with a japanese touch. But as far as longevity is concerned..this piece is not bound to last long. It is not as sturdy as a Nokia 3310. Every time it falls down you get the message on screen..INSERT SIM card !! What the hell man ?? Can't it keep a miniature sim card intact ?? Second disadvantage, is its charge holding capacity. Takes 3-4 hours to charge but lasts only 1 to 1.5 days at most. Cannot also download any new tunes as that feature, I think, is available in Sony Erricson models only. The worst is the clock. Gets reset whenever I keep it switched off for more than 2 hours. God knows why ?! Initially looks good in one's palm, but gradually the overall performance goes down with time. This is my review after full 1 year of usage. Today is the 1st anniversary of my Sony CMD J6. These kinds of miniature electronic items, made by big japanese companies, work better in and only in Japan. But the Indian lifestyle requires something strong, efficient and rigid enough for frequent day to day usage. Maybe thats why Nokia is still the No 1
