I want to take this opportunity to vent out the anger of so many silent sufferers of Sony TV owners of late. This TV was bought by me in September 2011, paying a premium over other brands. Suddenly the TV went green and started showing blurred pictures in July 2014. Imagine a TV failing within 3 years.
I was told by the authorized service technician that the TV picture panel has failed and it needs to a replacement that will cost Rs 22000! I was also told that the reason for failure could be a. due to power fluctuations or extreme heat or that I used some wet cloth to clean the panel. None of this was true as I have another Samsung LED TV in the house which would have gone through the same fate.
I went and searched the other blogs and found scores of other consumers all over the world are having problems with Sony TV bought after 2010. Beware SONY is NO MORE the dependable BRAND. Here is the blog you must read before you buy any SONY products. DO NOT GO FOR SONY BRAND ANY MORE. It is a mockery of the customer loyalty by SONY
