I purchased a Solarizer Solar 200L water heater. It worked pretty decently for a year. After that it started giving problem. Water was not getting heated at all. Solarizer service guys said that we need to service it. They serviced it with cost of Rs 1000, but while servicing they damaged a hose pipe. To clean the hose pipe, they continuously banged it to floor, which damaged its thread. The servicing guy asked me to purchase new hose pipe pair for Rs 1000 as they cannot give a single hose pipe. For the damage done by the servicing guy, I had to pay. I bargained with the Manager and then they reduced to Rs 500(for one hose Pipe).
After this service also, the heating of water was not good. Later, as per the Solarizer team suggestion I went for an acid wash which they took Rs 2800. After this acid wash the inner tank started leaking. The Solarizer Manager is now saying that to fix this problem I need to pay Rs 3500 in spite of the warranty/ guarantee on the Steel Tank. The Manager is saying that the guarantee is only offered if the TDS is below 140. The funniest thing is that, while purchasing the Solarizer team guys had come to the site and said ok to go with this S304 model, after measuring TDS of the water. Also this happened only after an acid wash. I think the raw material they use for tank is of not good quality. My neighbor who has installed other brand solar water heater during the same time has no complaints still now.
After initially paying RS 35000 for this water heater I have spent around Rs 5000 for its maintenance(excluding the tank repair). So do not invest on Solarizer water heater, the ROI is negative. Please do thorough analysis and purchase some other product in market.
