Having moved to Canada a few years ago, I missed two things back home alot. One being my maid and the second is tea. Nothing can beat those two.
Recently on a visit to an indian friend's place, however I had the best tea in pardess. I was told it was society tea. I had never heard of it as I am from Pakistan but really it was worth my trip to the desi store 10 mins from my home.
I had tried Tetley, Lipton,Tapal (Pakistani brand) and even some local brands before but none had the aroma or flavour when brewed.
Society tea tastes great on its own, or chilled and flavoured with lime to make iced tea or spiced up a little to make masala tea or ''Masala chai Latte''' as my friends here call it --- Hey even goras like our tea. I haven't had any tea as versatile.
