This book began like a fun read, something I envision would be awesome at the shoreline. Of course, it was about social life in New York with a modest bunch of references to French History, the two subject not specifically compelling to me, but rather it was engaging regardless. There was a feeling of approaching selling out that got me snared. Tragically, after said selling out the story took a long descending winding it never recuperated from. For one, the modest bunch of recorded references turned into a cumbersome heavy deluge that I was most of the way anticipating that the primary character should uncover herself to be marie Antoineette's rebirth. Additionally, this isn't a requital story. Rather it's the agonizing itemizing of our story teller's failings to the point I quit putting on a show to pull for her and trusted she truly would surrender. While the retribution plot itself was to some degree shrewd, it was attached toward the end when I couldn't have cared less any longer and generally demolished by the storytellers well ordered clarification of the whole reasoning produced and execution. None of the inquiries continuously asked are replied. All things considered altogether uninspiring.
