I travelled to Manali with my family in May this year. Since this is the peak season, I wanted to book a hotel beforehand. While searching for one on the net, I happened to see the website of Hotel Snow Princess, Manali. The information published on their website boasted of various facilities, based upon which I made my booking at their Delhi office. However, on reaching there, we were highly disappointed.

From the number of facilities published on their website, the ones that were present were:
The restaurant: There is nothing much one can write about the food served in their restaurant...just average and that too with poor service.

The Disco: In the evening, the reception people phoned us in our room informing that the Disco had opened. By the time we got ready and went there, it was closed. Reason: Not known.

Billiards Room: Most of the time it is occupied by the staff members.

The facilities which we did not find there, though published on their website, were:
The Bar: Their website says "To enliven your spirit, Hotel Snow Princess has a cosy bar with choicest varieties." They have posted a picture too. However, when I asked the reception about the bar. "Which bar" was their reply. Even more shocking: the manager had no idea about it too.

Daily Carnivals: Their website says "Take part in our daily carnivals. The evening dances, bonfires, bar-be-cues and live band to enliven your fun-filled evening." Could not find anything of these. On enquiry from the Reception, got the same answer: "Kaunsa Carnival?"

Kids Paradise: Their website says "exciting video games and other sports facilities for the kids." Hum to dhoondte hi reh gaye....

Health Club: Their website says "Tone up your body and mind, in the airconditioned environment of Snow Princess multigym. Exercise and fitness facilities are available at the Health Center for the guests. Gymnasium, Full Nautilus Equipment, Weight Rooms, Sauna, Locker Rooms, Showers, and Steam Bath facility."  We were told, it is under construction.

There was no use spending around 2K per night here. We checked-out the next morning.
