Recently I had been to Hyderabad with my family and heard about this snow world and I had the opportunity to visit the place. It is located in Hyderabad town itself near Hussain Sagar lake. It is located in a big complex, which houses "Ghost House", Children's computer games, Mirror magic house in addition to this snow world. There is provision to keep our belongings/mobile phones and valuables under acknowledgement. After paying the entry fee we would be taken to the 1st chamber wherein we would be provided with protective clothing and special lengthy shoes which covers almost half of our legs. These are perfect covering to experience this sub zero snowy experience. After this we would be taken to the 2nd chamber in smaller groups where the temperature is below 20 C. After experiencing this temperature for some time and making outselves comfortable to experience sub zero temperature, we would be allowed to enter the main snow auditorium. On entering this snow theme park it is a different experience altogether, as if we are really in a hilly snow terrain with snow fall. Nearly 200 tonnes of artificial snow is laid on the floor. I understand that every day the top layer of show is cleared and fresh 2/3 tonnes of snow is again dumped over the floor. The inside structure is specially model led and carved as if we are really in hill station like Switzerland, with mountain peak structures, European type snow houses, polar bear models and Eskimo snow houses. Proper exhaust system ensurers uninterrupted supply of fresh air. Inside this big enclosure kids play area, snow tube slides, sleigh slides are provided for real time experience of the snow world. Many footballs/ smaller balls are placed all over the floor to engage the children. Basker ball post/net and shuttle net is provided for engaging the children with gaming experience under sub zero temperature. Every 10 minutes fresh snow is blown in and at on stage we would be too much frozen with temperature going below -10 C. My children really enjoyed the snow tube slides and sleigh slides. Adventurers could also try climbing the peak mountain like tower models. The show fall lasts for almost one hour. On coming out we have to handover the shows and safety clothes back to the staff. There are tea shops inside this complex which provide us with good snacks and coffee. The ticket charges are reasonable, when compared to the environment set, clothing provided and the facilities offered.
It is a place worth seeing.
