Smurf: the lost village is a story that fits nicely between the classic peyo comics and Henna barbera saturday morning cartoons. The animation is beatutifully done.
There is no way you can take every lifted details in with just one viewing. The plot is fairly straightforward wth adventure at the forefront. This film avoid the misplaced pop culture refrence and oversued smurf puns that many dislikes about previous movies. Smurf: the lost village aims for younger audience, but adult shouldnt have problem remembering why they like these character themselves.
