First things first

Can please somebody remind Shriya to wear clothes when she comes to the set.  All that she wears is undergarments of different colors.  I gues she is alergic to wearing clothes covering her hip and legs.  and whats so special about her Bum that she projects in all of the songs. :!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Now to the movie

The plot is typical shankar’s plot.  A hero wanting to do good, bad guys come his way and he anhilates the bad guys in style to win.  Why does this work, coz we all like nice guys to win and succeed and only succeed, and that is what shankar shows in the movie.  The screenplay is really well sketched, the sequences well directed and viveks timing and dialogue delivery is, well as usual, but awesome.  The way shankar is able to exaggerate things to show the magnitude of corruption and the way it is handled is amazing( as always).

Now to the actors  The three chartecters who have almost got equal screen space are Rajini, Vivek and Suman.  I must say that all the three charecters have done their part to near perfection.   Suman as villan shows all the irritation on his face, and at the same time is able to appear as a calm person.  Vivek delivers his dialogue as glen mc-grath delivers his deliveries,  spot on and accurate.  Now to the BOSS of the movie  ive not seen rajini with so much of enthsiasm and energy in any of his recent movies.  I must frankly admit that Rajini really looks his age, despite all the makeup wig etc etc and with shriya as a pair he is a perfect mismatch.  But lets get back to india, tamilnadu.  He is RAJINI,  shivaji or not, he is tamil cinema’s boss.   The fact that Rajini was able to Match vivek in timing his comedy dialogues, and is able to bring his 80s kind of body language makes it all the more exciting to watch.  in short RAJINI ROCKS

Music    Rehman’s music is fresh and he has tried a serious full time Rap in the form of oru koodai sunlight.  Frankly that number rocksssssssss.  Sahana as the soft song and Ballelaka as the rajini song are catchy and stay in your mind.  Vaaji Vaaji sounds irritating, mainly coz of the female singer.  and the last song. Athiradi is chill.  The re-recording for the movie is really cool as well.  Overall a good and not a great job by ARR.

Cinematography- Setting

The movie is full of style, style and style and hats of thotta tharani for all the amazing sets, sply in the songs, the sets are tooooooooooooooo  , well, coooooool.  The movie has been shot in bright lighting and amazing color contrasts to make it a visual treat.   The song STYLE, is just a visual treat, the lighting, the graphics and rajini.  


The biggest catch of the movie is the fully tonsured Rajini,  he comes he sees, and he conquers.

Now to the drawbacks


like i mentioned earlier,  Shriya needs to seriously consider wearing clothes and not just , u know, undergarments.  She looks good and thats the only thing she does.  The charecter is avoidable.

Though, shankar handles the script well, his interest in giving a socially relevant message forces him to recycle the same old stories!!!!!!!!!

Stunts:  I fully agree that this is rajini movie and u need gravity defying stunts.  i only wish peter hynes shortened these stunt scenes.  But for the final fight, all other stunt scenes and too lengthly and makes you think of taking a nap.


Overall, the movie is awesome, purely because of the entertainment values tht it has and for RAJINI, sply the Mottai Rajini.

No wonder the movie is doing well
