I booked a Air deccan ow fare ticket three months in advance ( May 6,2007 ) for the flight from Bangalore to Trivandrum on the 6 :10 am,18 August 2007 .I planned this ticket for attending my friends
marriageand had scheduled my entire trip accordingly
I received a call from Air deccan on 17th Aug at 8:06 pm stating that the flight has been cancelled. It was told me to "pls excuse us for the inconvenience and you can reschedule the flight for the same sector in the evening )i was left with no other option but todrop the plans for travelling that day as there was no time left for getting a Bus / train ticket fro the same route
8:15 pm I gave a call to find out the reason for delay.it was told to me that My name is not there in the confirmed passenger list for the said flght
8 :21 pm I gave Call to them again for rescheduling my ticket in the eveing. It was told to me initially that there was no ticket fro the said route was already sold out.But immediately Mr manjunath informed me that there is a ticket avalable for the said route.
.Finally Itold them to rechedule it for the evening flight.and manjunath Reconfirmed the same with me after i gave him all the details which he had asked for,
To my surprise I get a call from Air deccan 8 36 again that the flight tickets are sold out
If this kind of service continues, they ar e ultimately going to spoil the image of even King fisher airlines whom they have tied up with recently
It was told to me that tickets can be refunded back. But they dont appreciate the seriousness of time.I hope non eof the readers ever getting an experience like this.
It is always advisable to travel with a reliable Airlines with a higher cost than travelling at a un reliable airlines at a cheaper cost. You would be compensating with the missed opportunity cost,More important you dont loose the piece of mind
i would suggest Air deccan only to passenger s who would love to travel in a Air plan e for the frst time. But for people who would love to keep some commitments in Life/ business,Option of Rail / road would be afaster option than a Air deccan
