Story:

It is a novel written by George Eliot. in this novel the chief character Silas Marner is a weaver by profession .he is accused of stealing . although he has done nothing but still he pays the penalty for it and even her engagement is broken. his hopes from his life are shattered and out of disappointment he leaves the town. he travels to a far flung area of Raveloe which is situated in Warwickshire. here he lives alone and secluded. he interacts less with the people.  he earns gold from weaving there and adore them.  here also he fails in finding his happiness and his earnings in form of gold are stolen by Dunstan Cass who is the son of the wealthy landowner of the town. there is another interesting story which runs parallel to this story. Godfrey Cass who is the elder brother of the wealthy landowner had married Molly Farren who is an opium addict. this secret marriage prevents Godfrey to marry Nancy Lammeter who represents high class society. after several dramatic episodes we find Molly dead and her two year child walks into Silas's house.  Silas Marner decides to keep this child and names her Eppie. this child brings happiness in the life of Silas. this novel is very interesting and at the climax everything becomes clear and it evokes several emotions among readers.
