If you are doing distance education, go for universities which are accredited by:
UGC, DEC and NAAC.
SMUDE is not recognised by NAAC, which means you cannot apply for work in many countries like USA, Canada, Australia, Europe. because WEC won't recognise a degree from SMUDE.( google'sikkim manipal university+ WES' from canadavisa website to read my posts by abhay_reddy)
SMUDE is not recognised by DEC. but they have a pending court case as of March 2015. If the court holds DEC decision of de-recognition of SMUDE, then this university won't even be recognised in India!
SMUDE is recognised by UGC for this academic year but its like an On OFF switch since 2006.
I did the mistake of joining here with out researching, now I am about to give my 4th sem exams, but have no heart in writing!
I am going to try get a transfer into Annamalai university for 3rd year BCA.
It is a waste of your time studying in SMU.
