Sikkim Manipal University was established in 1995. This University is recognised by University Grant Commision. It is also approved by Government of India. The main objective of this University was to provide job oriented education to the youth of Sikkim and make them fit to get job. All the courses provided by this University are approved by MCI, NCI, AICTE, DEC etc. Distance Education Program of this University have given opportunity to many people to complete bachelor and master degree program who are in service. This University has strong Alumni strength( more than 3 lakhs).
