Hi Freinds
I being a non-Maharstrian, always loved marathi old movies, songs and Littreture.
I dont know but from were this passion for marathi came to me....
      One

day afternoon i was palying outside, my amma called me " Paapa(my pet name)  Lopat Raa, TV lo  ipudu syamchi aai wastunandi "  (come inside onTV  Shaymchi aai is coming) . 
 It was good old doordarshan that time..i just thought some bodys mothers interview  might be coming on TV.... how her son become great scholar or something like that..spear motivation thinking .....she might be calleing  me for some  inspiration...
     Perhaps  when i went inside i sat to watch... what was going? it was the day everthing dramaticaly changed my life..... the entire  movie i was  weeping...all though my mom couldnt understand what has happen to me.....i dd’nt had food ,water nothing ..i sat quite simply thinking about shyam and his mother and and  Sane Guruji.....same way next day i was quite my mom asked my dad " iggo Chudu, aan ki  em aaiendee, Adguu...doctor  degar tisko podama " ( See what happen to him, ask him lets take him to Doctor)...my dad came to me..pampared me ...i started crying but i dont know why i was crying....
   Just a  movie made a such an impact on my tender mind.... this was my first milestone of changes,
some time Later I saw another movie called Ekatee. Still this movie is my all time favorite
I still today whenever i see this movie..i cry like a child......
Matter of saying is all this thing is, all those old memories we cherished in  burts out some day
and thgis happend when i was reading a review on syamchi aai...i dont think emotions can be picturised with such strong contents any were else except in Marathi...
All i can do today is to praise and pay my tribute to  all the Legendary saheetik People who had contributed for marathis Goodness.
